Yesterday I commented that YouTube , after many trials, finally launched the HTML5 in his videos and adopted this new standard. It is still in a beta version, with errors and does not allow its operation in all the clips that are part of the service.
Of course the other major video sites do not want to be left behind and today it was announced that Vimeo also began to support the HTML5. The benefit, as always, is the speed and non-necessity of annoying Flash plugin that, at times, but does so slowly so the browser you are using (or improve the battery, eg a laptop).
Although from Vimeo announced that approximately 90% of the videos already support this standard, the reality is quite the same as with YouTube. For now works with Safari, Chrome or Internet Explorer with ChromeFrame installed. Of course, to operate the user must click on the button that says “Switch to HTML5 player “.

Why don't you make one?
