The official wiki Dropbox have a great trick to use Dropbox several accounts at once , at least in systems Unix (ie Linux and Mac). The aim was clear: to expand capacity beyond 2GB on the free account, but we could also think of other objectives less base as the ability to use different accounts for different purposes.
The idea is simple and is based on deceiving the successive copies of Dropbox changing the start of our user directory . Thus preferences are saved in an alternate folder for each extra copy you install. This preparation is finished by adding that pitcher custom startup items, so we do not have to worry about and everything works automagically.
To do this the quickest way is the terminal, and wiki Dropbox have ready a list of commands to execute. Having said that, although a little change to Linux and Mac that both commands are in that very mascaditos wiki, we must remember that this little hack requires some skill with the console: open and basically know how to write. Now we just need someone to tell us how to do it in Windows … any ideas? Will the create a shortcut?
