One question that immediately need when working with multiple computers or an external hard drive is an option to sync folders. Synchrorep synchronization is an option for Linux simple and effective allowing us to cover our basic needs if we use this operating system. He is currently in development version 1.3.6.
We synchronize folders in a very comfortable, as this tool allows us to Select the folders you want synchronize with the contextual menu . This option must select them in the application preferences and needs reboot to take effect.
This context menu will allow us to directly choose the folder from which we copy your content, choose through the file browser select the destination folder, which will receive the files contained in the first. Once linked the synchronization is bidirectional , ie we can say that you synchronize from source and from the destination folder. 
After choosing the folders, when we introduced a new document and want to be copied to the folder you have synchronized on the laptop or on a NAS , we just have to use the right mouse button via the context menu synchronize the two.
If you select the folders is that we have documents in the destination folder with the same name that you intend to synchronize the source folder, gives us the option of staying with the file source folder, the folder destination, the most recent or older. If there are multiple files with this peculiarity have the option to check a box with the option to always perform this action to be run automatically.
The same applies where it is detected that files have been deleted. The application will ask for confirmation about what we do, if you delete files or keep them. For me it is a application very useful , which helps me to keep copies in different folders automated, very simple and flexible. I especially useful for keeping copies of files between computers and external hard drives.
