I’m a Mac user for just over a year and a half since I moved to the world of all that odd manzanita and all I’m going to the desktop PC with my brother Windows 7 is to play DotA (a map of Warcraft III ) or for a while Counter Strike . No doubt the difference there is to support between Mac and Windows game is abysmal but now seeks to shrink a little.

Valve , one of the games development companies in the world, announced that its Steam platform would be available also for the operating system Apple with some rare ads that parody the iPod. With this software also start to be run games like Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal and Half-Life .

Now the company announced via an official statement that their system will be available from April . This means that in less than a month and we will be playing some of the most famous games that are going around.

In fact, now assumed to be Portal 2 is the first building that Valve will present for both Mac and Windows simultaneously, and this is the beginning of a new era, because the idea is that since then all New releases are produced for both platforms.

Undoubtedly Windows remains the operating system that the gamers should choose, but also no doubt that this is a big, big step in relation to video games on the Mac
