Within consumer electronics televisions are crucial parts, at CES 2010 we have seen, many brands have presented their new models of television sets which come loaded with innovation and increasingly move away a little more the concept of TV we had until now.

And with a new sign that the world of television continues to evolve and reinvent come. Specifically I speak of the technology LPD property company based in Silicon Valley prysm that have submitted recently.

LPD stands for Phosphor Laser Display , a system for building screens whose principle of operation is based on cell excitation by laser pulses phosphorus . According prysm its technology advantages over other systems LPD are several, we have to the energy needed is LPD screens up to 75% less than for example the LCD , manufacturing costs are rather low and process “clean”.

At the moment the goal is to start manufacturing prysm large screens for stadiums or malls but his leap to conventional TV market will also come.

A priori prysm we painted it all very nice, a new technology that lowers costs, reduces consumption and makes the production process very versatile, all without a shred of drop in the quality of the images. We’ll see if finally all that glitters is gold or on the contrary there is a lot of fallacy.
