
Canonical’s work does not stop, and since the final hours of last night is now available Lucid Lynx Ubuntu Alpha 2 for download. Is the second of three alpha versions under development cycle ending in what will be Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, which will arrive on April 29 and will be Long Term Support.
In this second alpha reach kernel 2.6.32-10.14 and eliminated HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) which leads to lower onset and recovery from suspension. There are new owners of nVidia drivers (190.53, nvidia-96 and nvidia-173) which can be installed without compatibility issues all, but obviously only one can be elected at the same time, but this will give greater opportunities to test and determine what the best adapted.
As you can imagine, both KDE and Gnome come with their latest developments, and improved the Ubuntu installer Enterprise Cloud (UEC) now find and register new information automatically, which will be vital for the implementation of UEC networks larger and more complex topologies.
