NO IE6!

In Korea now over 60% of users use the browser Internet Explorer and not because they want to, but because they must, because otherwise they could not navigate properly.

¿ What I mean? The thing goes back to the late 90s when the South Korean government wanted to implement an encryption system for Internet transactions. At that time through SSL 128-bit does not exist yet.

What they did to overcome this problem is quite logical, developed their own encryption system, which put him SEED.

SEED is a proprietary system that, at the time, was developed as a plugin to Netspace and worked through ActiveX for Internet Explorer. As the browser market, Microsoft was taking 95% of users, the government failed to update the extension.

The result is something completely disastrous . All persons who wish to perform any activity related to a bank must do so with Internet Explorer . In fact, they have to be done with Internet Explorer 6 if you want everything to work correctly, as the system goes perfectly with this version and the rest have a few errors.

While Windows users have no problem in these cases, Mac and Linux, if you want to do a transaction that needs SEED yes or will it be before a Internet Explorer.

These situations are a clear case in which we realize the true cons of proprietary systems and developments of governments not only have no idea how to run things on the internet but also have no idea that there are people not using Windows and that automatically would be unable to carry out these activities online. Worst of all is that this is over 10 years .

Obviously, many Korean users are doing different types of movements for your government to realize that what they did is crazy and they need to change soon.
