At last, after more than a year of waiting (which I insist, is unforgivable in this day and age), Google has officially launched and the entire general public the first beta of Google Chrome for Mac OS X and Linux . The version of the build is 4.0.249.30 and should be updated automatically in all previous builds of Chrome that Google released to developers.

Should be warned: In this version features such as the extensions have been disabled , presumably to avoid errors and confusion among users (remember that the gallery is still in phase extensions closed). But those responsible have already promised a rapid development to try to introduce all the new features and match the version of Windows.

For those who want to enjoy the latest browser on Mac OS X and Linux including extensions, we recommend using the latest builds of Chromium. Chrome is free, open and officially compatible with Ubuntu, Debian, OpenSuse, Fedora and Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard .
