Many times in this world of technology, size matters. Whether we need something big or on the contrary, because we need something small. And along with the size, versatility also plays an important role.

The other day I found a small box on the outside, but with greater versatility. This is the Hive Logix Mini ITX. It’s a box made entirely of aluminum, so it has a very low weight (less than a kilogram) and a very good internal heat dissipation. Inside we include a motherboard and fits Mini ITX Intel standard fan. So we could ride in Atom or Ion systems, but we can choose go to a computer with a Core2Duo, if we need more computing power.

And the storage system is also remarkable. It has two holes, 3 1 / 2, accessible from the outside. There are two disks 3 1 / 2 or four 2.5 “disks. There’s even a accessory plug drive bays with hot swapping.

With this we have a box that can serve us to mount:

– A TPV or a simple billing system with a plaque Atom

– A low-end HTPC with a plaque Ion

– A HTPC or midrange midrange PC with a motherboard with an Intel Core2Duo

– A small size Nas, with a plaque Atom.

So far as is not always one distributor in Spain for these boxes, but good to see if anyone is encouraged and distributed here.
